Zippity doo dah, zippity ay, my oh my what a wonderful day!!
More bioI design electronic equipment and web sites and play guitar. My first electronics training was in the Army in 1967 though me and my brother used to get these big batteries out of the phone company dumpster and do weird things with them like letting the smoke out of them. I first learned programming in hex on an 8080 trainer about 1980.
I got my first Internet account in 1992 because a friend said I could download free software. It was a dial-up account at 9600 baud using 'gopher' to view file listings at archive sites. And I put up my first web site in 1997. Still on dial-up.
Now I have numerous computers running OS's from Win3.1/DOS to WinXP and Vista and Finally Windows 7. I also have RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu Linux and 2 Macs with OSX. They're all hooked up on my network along with a variety of HP printers. Much of what I have learned about computers, networking, and internet has been learned on my own systems.
And I'm a very inventive and creative person. I usually figure something out about a week before Apple or HP or TI announce it as a product...
I noticed the 'System Configuration' section below... well there Used to be a 'System Configuration' section below. Still, who has only one computer??
