treating an infected laptop
There is an infected laptop. It does not have an AV program. So my plan is to connect it to the net, and download Avast and try to find and knock out the virus.? Is this a good idea? Any alternatives.?
Mainly, is there any concern about putting this laptop on the network? There are other PCs/laptops connected through the wire and also wireless. Do they have any chance to be affected by the laptop that is infected and will join the network?
