Outlook 2013 sudden error message
Hi
1 user (Windows 8 + MS Office Home and Business 2013) started getting an error message suddenly today on her Outlook 2013 (IMAP Inbox):
"We're sorry but outlook has run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly." It then offers options to Repair, Help or Close.
So far I've:
1) Done the the Quick Repair
2) Done the Online repair
3) Completely uninstalled and re-installed
But the same problem still comes up when opening Outlook 2013. All other applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are fine though.
What I noticed is that when I go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 15\root\office15 right click on Outlook application and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility and go for "Try Recommended Settings" it sets it to Windows 7. When with these settings that previous message comes up "We're sorry but outlook has run into an error..."
There's also an option to go for Windows 8 settings and then Outlook starts up but only with UAC box, no way to do it without the UAC.
Any ideas would be welcome.
Thanks
