Clamav Emails Summary after scan but .....

Folks, I am running Ubuntu 10.04 and have installed Clamav. i have it working great it is scheduled to scan at regular intervals and once complete it emails me both a list of the files that have been scanned & at the end of that list a brief summary. So far I started with scanning one dir, then moved onto scanning the /etc directory. What I noticed was that the list of files was MASSIVE. My question is HOW can I get it to email me the summary but omit the file list ?

Thank you, quite desperate so 500 point for this one..

How do you send yourself the report? You could just grep -v everything that has a / inside...

grep -v / yourlog.txt | mailx ....

But you will not get the failed ones.... maybe you want to grep -v for OK as the good ones are marked with OK.

grep -v OK yourlog.txt | mailx

ASKER

To be honest my friend I just installed using one of the many tutorials out there. I did not configure anything specifically, once I input clamav into cron using the following as the command:-

clamscan -r /etc

it emailed me automatically. Not really sure how to use your advice, bit of a newbie with Linux..

Thanks will go away and try ..
Ok that second command seems spot on, but just one query, I am assuming that infected files would still get listed.. Yes ?
